Penola High School

Penola High School students are making remarkable strides in their agriculture program, focusing on cattle and sheep handling for the upcoming show season.

Guided by experienced mentors Mason Galpin and Ben Brooksby, the students have formed teams to master the art of halter training steers and prepare them for show.

Their dedication and teamwork have fostered a supportive environment for learning.

The students have gained valuable skills in livestock handling.

From learning proper care and grooming techniques to understanding the bond between animals and handlers, they have developed a deep appreciation for the art.

As they eagerly prepare the steers for the shows, the students have taken on the responsibility of washing and grooming them with meticulous attention to detail. 

The student’s teamwork and enthusiasm have been commendable throughout the process, creating a positive atmosphere for growth. They have embraced their passion for agriculture beyond the classroom. As the show season approaches, these exceptional students are poised to showcase their hard work, skills, and dedication, further contributing to the success of Penola High School’s agriculture program.
