Anzac Day services will be held around the Limestone Coast on Thursday, April 25, to commemorate the contribution of all those who have served Australia and New Zealand/ Aotearoa in time of war and in war‑like conflicts.

BEACHPORT

The Beachport Rivoli Bay Lions Club will host a Dawn Service at the foreshore War Memorial from 6am.

Wreaths are welcome; time will be allowed for their placement by individuals as well as clubs/organisations.

At the conclusion of the Service the Lions Club will provide a cooked breakfast for which a donation will be asked.

Money raised will be donated to Childhood Cancer Research, an official Lions charity.

BORDERTOWN

Dawn Service will begin at 6.30am at the Cenotaph outside the Bordertown RSL Sub Branch, Canawigara Road Bordertown.

Toast and coffee will follow the service in the RSL clubrooms, with a special breakfast service at the Bordertown Hotel after that.

GLENCOE

Community members are invited to join a march leaving from the Glencoe Shop at 6.50 and walking to Memorial Park, where a Dawn Service will begin at 7am.

Afterwards a gold coin community breakfast will be held at the Glencoe Public Hall.

KEITH

A Dawn Service will be held in Memorial Park, Heritage Street, from 6.30am, this will be followed by a light breakfast at the Keith RSL, Anzac Terrace.

KINGSTON SE

There will be a Dawn Service beginning at 6.30am at Kingston Soldiers Memorial Park with a sausage sizzle to follow at the RSL Clubrooms.

LUCINDALE

The Lucindale RSL Sub Brach will host a Dawn Service beginning at 7am at the Lucindale War Memorial.

This will be followed by breakfast, $5 per head at the Lucindale Memorial Hall, everyone welcome.

MILLICENT

A Dawn Service will commence at 6am at the Millicent Cross of Sacrifice.

Breakfast will be served at the Millicent RSL Memorial Club hall straight after the conclusion of the Dawn Service.

All are welcome to attend, eat and meet with the veterans. Gold coin donation for breakfast – all money raised goes to the ANZAC Appeal, to help us look after veterans and their families in need.

The march of the veterans will start in front of the George Hotel at 10.45am, proceeding to the Cross of Sacrifice, with the service commencing at 11am.

Community members wishing to lay a wreath on the cenotaph are asked to have them there by 10.30am.

MOUNT GAMBIER/ BERRIN

There will be several services throughout the morning, beginning with a Dawn Service at 6.10am at the War Memorial in Vansittart Park.

This will be followed by a gunfire breakfast at the Mount Gambier RSL Sub Branch clubrooms on Sturt Street.

At 9am there will be a Boer War service at the Mount Gambier Boer War Memorial on Bay Road.

This will coincide with an Air Force Service, which will see community members gathering near the Airman’s graves within Lake Terrace Cemetery.

To conclude services there will be a march along Commercial Street to Vansittart Park, beginning at the Old Town Hall.

Veterans are invited to gather from 10.30am, with the march starting at 10am.

Once the march has finished there will be a second service at the War Memorial in Vansittart Park.

MUNDULLA

A morning service will begin at 9am at the Cenotaph on Packer Avenue, following this morning tea will be served in the Old Council Chambers.

NARACOORTE

A Dawn Service will begin in the Naracoorte Town Square at 5.30am and will be followed by a commemorative march.

PADTHAWAY

The Padthaway community will gather in Apex Park for a service to commemorate the Australian Light Horse at 11am, a barbecue lunch will be held following this.

PENOLA

The Coonawarra Penola RSL Sub Branch will host a march from Penola War Memorial Park to the Penola RSL for a 7.30am gunfire service.

Breakfast will follow for a $5 donation.

PORT MACDONNELL

A community-led Dawn Service, now including the New Zealand/ Aotearoa national anthem and flag raising, will be held from 6.15am at the War Memorial on Sea Parade.

Breakfast cooked by the Port MacDonnell Netball Club will follow.

ROBE

The morning will begin with a march from the Robe RSL Sub Branch from 6.30am.

Walkers will make their wat to the War Memorial on Smillie Street, where a Dawn Service will start at 6.45am.

WOLSELEY

A morning service will begin at 11am at Soldiers Park, Ridgeway Road, following this refreshments will be served at the Wolseley Community Club.
