Kalangadoo comes together for ANZACs

LOCALS from Kalangadoo and surrounds gathered at the Kalangadoo Cemetery to remember the ANZAC soldiers of the town who dedicated their lives to protecting their country.

Wreaths were laid at the cemetery entrance to commemorate the lives lost and the bravery of those who lived on.

In addition to the dawn service, the lives of Kalangadoo-born Pvt Henry Mules and Pvt Peter Mules were celebrated for their service during World War II and the Vietnam War respectively.

Others in attendance of the event included Member for Barker Tony Pasin, Wattle Range Council Mayor Des Noll and councillor Dale Price, Member for Mackillop Nick McBride, Mount Gambier RSL president Bob Sandow, Millicent RSL president Chris Mathias and Coonawarra/Penola RSL president Peter DeGaris.
