PET owners of Millicent have been invited to take part in a special celebration for their dogs at the Millicent Dog Park, where activities are planned to give attendees a barking good time.

The event itself was planned in order to raise more awareness for dog owners about the responsibilities of owning a four-legged friend.

Owners will have the opportunity to learn more about handling dog behaviour, socialising with other owners and pets as well as nutrition and dietary requirements.

Other activities will include:

– Paws Parade: Dress up your furry companion in their finest attire and strut your stuff for prize categories. Parade starts 10:30am.

– Puppy Portraits: Have a digital portrait of you and your best friend taken to keep. Photos will be emailed to you.

– Information & Trade Stalls: Stop and have a chat with professionals in canine related organisations and industries.

– Registration Help: Dog registrations are due. Staff will be on hand to help with your enquiries and renew your dog’s registration.

– Prizes, Promotions and Giveaways: Lucky door prizes, veterinarian vouchers towards desexing and microchipping, and other giveaways on the day.

– Catering: Enjoy a ‘Hot Dog Breakfast’ (human food only) with a coffee van also on site.

Dogs and their humans are invited to join the fun at the Millicent Dog Park on Sunday, June 30 from 10am.
