A very small group of volunteers meet every second Sunday at the Penola hospital grounds to take care of the gardens.

The area is quite large and tasks include weeding, cutting back shrubs, pruning roses and general maintenance.

“It is a very satisfying task and we have a great time”, Co-ordinator, Janet Brodie said.

The group is looking for more volunteers as many hands make light work.. The working bee goes from 9am to 11am.

Initially when the group formed some years ago it was quite large however numbers have dwindled over time.
