Penola Netball Club will hope to claim their first win of the season this Saturday as they take on Keith in the Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara Netball Association.

Both sides enter the game off the back off disappointing losses in Round 2.

Penola have struggled to reach their heights of last season where they were premiers.

Their squad depth was tested against Naracoorte as they struggled to field a team with injuries, sickness and a wedding.

The reigning premiers lost their first two games by nine goals and face a difficult task of turning their form around when they make the trip to Keith.

They will be hopeful of being back to near full strength after their squad depth was tested last weekend.

Keith enter the game off the back of an 18-goal loss to Lucindale on Saturday.

However, the Crows were successful in their first game for the season as they defeated Mundulla by 24 goals.

Their shooters were on fire as they shot with pinpoint accuracy in the first game and notched up an association-high 70 goals.

Danielle Vankalken enters the game with 73 goals this season for Keith.

Maddy Teakle will likely matchup with Vankalken on Saturday’s game.

Teakle has been a consistent performer for Penola and will need to continue that form into Round 3 for the Eagles to come away with a result this weekend.
