Penola make the trip north to Frances as they take on Border Districts in Round 5 of the Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara Netball Association.

A close contest is expected as the undefeated Border Districts host last year’s premiers.

Penola enter the game high on confidence after their strong win over the Bordertown Roosters last weekend.

The Eagles enter their clash against the league-leaders without Victoria Henderson, who is out for about six weeks with an ankle injury.

Sally Skeer or Tara Millard will make the step up to fill that hole in the mid-court, as the pair have regularly filled in for the A Grade side this year due to injuries and Covid.

Millard was one of the best performers for Penola during their win over the Roosters and will look to continue that form if given the chance.

April Possingham is in impressive form as she has scored 88 goals in her last two games.

Border Districts enter the game off the back of an impressive 10-goal win over Lucindale in Round 4.

Their shooters, Emma Hausler and Lily Pfitzner, have formed a lethal partnership in the attacking third.

In just three games, Hausler has scored 71 goals, while Pfitzner has 76 goals next to her name.

Maddy Teakle and Brooke Klemm have been in impressive form in the defensive third for Penola this season.

An exciting contest is expected between Penola’s strong defensive duo, and Border Districts’ equally impressive attacking duo.

Penola will need to put in a full four-quarter performance if they are to come away the victory on Saturday.
