Magpies look to continue success

KALANAGDOO has been the powerhouse club in the Mid South Eastern Netball Association for many years.

That changed in 2022 when Glencoe claimed the honours on a wet and windy day.

However, the Magpies returned to the top in 2023, as if they had never left.

The 2024 season will see the Kalangadoo line-up basically unchanged, with the team comprised of a mix of youth and experience.

With the changing of the guard, Abbey Duncan takes over from Jayde Peacock as coach and while they lose the finesse of Chloe Peacock in the mid-court, they have elevated another talented and hard working junior, Georgia Gentile into the defensive third.

Abbey Duncan will still take to the court in goals, along with Ebony McDiarmid and Melissa Russell.

Georgia Duncan and Georgia Gentile and Lara Munro take on defensive roles.

The mid-court includes Jane Auld, Jayde Peacock and Lauren Kain.

With such a strong line-up, despite the loss of Chloe Peacock, it will a tough task for any side to dethrone the Magpies this season and they would surely start favourite for yet another flag.

Kalangadoo hosts Port MacDonnell in the opening round in what should be an exciting clash.
