I WOULD like to take this opportunity to welcome all existing and new players, coaches, supporters and volunteers to the opening round of the Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara Netball Association for 2024.

It only seems like yesterday that we were at last year’s grand final.

I would like to congratulate all individual trophy recipients and the premiership teams of 2023.

Thank you to the Kingston Netball Club who hosted the 2023 presentations.

We are looking forward to attending the 2024 Country Championships in June and will be taking a senior and three junior teams to Adelaide for the weekend.

I encourage those players selected to trial to register and give representing the association a go.

The relationships formed at Country Champs will continue with you long into the future.

This season the KNTNA are running a Junior Development program which is really exciting moving forward.

This allows our junior players to have exposure to different coaches from within our league and the opportunity for coaches to pass on their knowledge.

We are busily working with Netball SA to provide umpiring and coaching opportunities and we hope to soon have some sessions confirmed.

Netball SA will be in the South East for the “On the Road” from Sunday May 19 to Wednesday May 22 and we look forward to what this will bring to the region.

I would like to acknowledge and thank our sponsors for 2024.

If you are interested in becoming a sponsor of the KNTNA please contact me at kntnasecretary@outlook.com.

There continues to be a lot of work going on around the courts with upgrades at Bordertown and new courts at Padthaway.

Well done to both clubs.

On behalf of the executive, I would like to wish all football and netball clubs the best of luck for 2024 and I look forward to catching up with you during the season.
