PENOLA’S A Grade footballers bounced back from last week’s loss to Mundulla with a solid victory over Naracoorte in Round 2 of Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara football.

The Eagles were fast out of the blocks and banged on five goals and six behinds in a dominant opening quarter.

By the long break that margin has stretched further, as Penola added another three major scores and four minors, to Naracoorte’s three straight goals.

It was much the same in the third term, as Penola controlled the contest and found plenty of inside 50s to again stretch the margin, although some inaccuracies in front of goals began to appear.

By the final siren the Eagles had kicked 17 behinds, but also put on 14 goals to easily account for the Demons.

Much of the damage came from the boot of Brodie Foster, who led all scorers with six majors.

Jak Ryan chipped in with four goals, while Jordan Galpin, Foster and Beau Shinnick were best for the Eagles.
